Default 08 vs 09

Putting money aside for the moment. With all of the changes with the 09. Is it worth looking at an 09? Or should I wait until the 103 engine comes out with the new frame in 2010 or 2011?

Buy the 09, do a 103" kit, and ride. Looking that you have a 08 though, I guess it wouldn't hurt wait and see that 2010 brings, but if they don't put the 103 in the 2010, what you gonna do?

I would WAIT first year of major changes is not always a good thing - Besides they may bend ya over on the trade-in

Trading an '08 for an '09 seems pretty pointless to me...but hey, it's your money. Besides the difference in cost between what your bike is worth versus what you'll pay for the '09 you have to consider the cost of whatever upgrades/modifications you've made that you would wnat on the '09. Is that a loud flushing sound I hear?

My Vote is Wait - Own an 08 and don't see enough on the 09 to worry about upgrading - but it's your money.

I'd wait. There are going to be changes every year.
Trading up every year is too expensive for me.

Thanks guys I know keeping it is the right thing to do I just need to hear it. Back in the late 90's I would sell my bike every year and not get hurt on the sale. Well I guess I'm back on to more mods.

Putting money aside, I think you always go for the latest model.

As for waiting for a 103, who knows if or when that will happen.

Keep the 08 unless you just like wasting money. The only significant difference is the wide rear tire and you almost have to get on your hands and knees to see it. It also sounds like they are having trouble with engine manangement programming way more than the 08s. I have an 08 UG / SE and wouldn't even emotely consider trading it for an 09, that's just stupid!

I certainly wouldn't be in a rush to buy the new two-piece frame. If you get a Bagger Brace or something similar, your frame will work as well as any ever made. Let the other guys be the guinea pigs to see if a frame meant for a three-wheeler will work well with only two wheels under it.
