RE: Cost to install Cruise Control
I just had one installed on my RK Custom. They hit me with 2.5 hrs of labor. Shop around, I called a number of dealers, and got quotes from 2 to 4 hours labor.
A lot of guys say it is easy to install, so you might want to check that route out as well. Me....I'm not confident, or should I say "conpetent" enough to do it myself.
Good luck
Pete
Oh BTW you will love the cruise control!!

I would strongly consider doing it yourself. My understanding is that other than the handlebar work, it gets plugged into the throttle cable. Your bike, even though it did not come with cruise, should have the connection for it on the throtttle cable. Free the gas tank and shim it up with blocks of wood, you don't have to completely remove it. Directly under the filler cap, maybe 2" back, you will see a 'Y' coming off your throttle cable. That is where you plug in the cruise. I would make sure you have a service manual and parts book handy. Good luck.

No gas tank removal or raising is needed... this is one of the easiest jobs a owner can do... I have bars with internal wires and that took the most time... only because I had to remove the plug from the wires... That is also very easy (once you figure it out) but takes a little time... email me and I will help as I can...
