Looks like the Voyager kit to me. I have an older riding buddy that has had several back surgery's and can't hold the Ultra up anymore. He has this kit and it goes on and off i a few minutes. The kit is just for balancing and is not "powered".

I saw one down the other day. Doesn't the 4th wheel make it a "car" and subject to all the requirements seatbelt/bumper etc.

That is not a trike. Those are TRAINING WHEELS!

There's a bunch of these voyager kits in the South East! Definitely an inexpensive way to still keep one or two up if you can't do it on two wheels anymore! And the full kit for the back looks good too. Good post!

Our group rides with a guy with the training wheels. The extra wheels flop around like crazy when he is on a less than smooth highway. He has to remember to ride in the center of the road, when he is riding in a staggered group formation, the outside wheel rides right on the line... The training wheels do come off easily, but he has only removed them for maintenance.
He is a big guy, he probably can't hold his ultra up on his own, so this what he did to avoid buying a trike. The thinking was that if he wanted to sell his bike for a different one, he would be able to sell it easier without the wheels, and the market is better for a two wheel bike than a trike.
It was also thought that had he bought a trike, he could not return it to two wheels for riding as easily as just taking off the training wheels, should he feel confident in being able to ride on two.

I ran into a guy in Oregon last month that had one (training wheels). He was towing a trailer and putting on some major miles, he was from Canada. He said his knees were shot and same with his wife. This was a way for them to keep riding.
