I've a '10 Road King Classic and I love the look of those 09-11 heritage bars. Do you have the part number, and modifications needed to the bars for electronic throttle? I have cruise control on the '10. Dealer said it would need some modification but could make no recommendations. How does the clutch cable fit? Do you have a close up picture of the bars on your bike?

2010 Road King Classic

I'll chime in one more time. The stock RK bars suck. The "Heritage Style" bars for the RK IMHO suck. I sat on a 2011 Softail Heritage at my dealer & knew these were what I wanted. Very comfortable for ME!
The cost is low, (under $70) require a little modification for the TBW, & are very comfortable for a mini ape. They have approx. a 12" rise, allow you to use your stock TBW, stock clutch cable, & stock front brake lines.
Total cost of this set of bars is roughly $70 & about an hour or two dependent on your ability.
I will attach a photo I have posted before to show the wrist angle difference between the Softail Heritage bars & the "Heritage Style" bars. The Softail Heritage bars are in the plastic. BTW, just got another PM from a HD Forum member in regards to these bars. For the money, I don't think they can be beat!

2000 RK with what I think is 10" mini apes, not sure of it because they were on there when I bought it. Here's my problem though, I think they are very comfortable for sure, BUT if I make a slow speed tight turn I am stretching a little on the outside arm, and I sometimes like to ride without the windshield and I do not like the look of mini apes with out the windshield.
I would like to try Wild 1's 518's but am too cheep to buy them without knowing for sure if they will work for me. I want the low classic look for the whole bike but the thing is so comfortable the way it is I am afraid to lose that for looks.
