Cable restored as of this morning (TV, internet, email). Power off for 5½ days, and some in the Baton Rouge vicinity are still without.
Here are some photos taken the day after Gustov within 1/4-mile of my residence in Baton Rouge. My house is #02 & 13, with #01 showing my tetering fence in the background. Take note of the cloth glove in photo #41. It was dropped from my car the day before the storm and forgotten, the photo showing the direction of Gustov's winds coming from an open field. The glove was still on the driveway after the storm, as per the photo. The 90+mph gusts toppled large oak trees, one across the street being 79 years old (#05 & 10), but left this glove undisturbed. I thus assume the wind at ground level is very low.
