Personally I wouldn't use an after market non HD filter, but many use Wix which make filters for Napa. I don't like the idea that the filter that fits my scoot also fits: Various Chrysler/Jeep (82-08), Various GM, Saturn (85-07), Lexus (90-08), Saab (67-08), Suzuki (86-02), Toyota (88-08), Yugo (86-89), Harley-Davidson,Various Lawn & Garden, Farm Equip.
You should also note that the Wix/Napa 51348 & 1348 oil filter is smaller in diameter than the MoCo filter, thus it has a smaller capacity and a stock end filter wrench won't fit it.

I know a mans best defense is "size doesn't matter", but in the case of and oil filter, that is true to some degree. What is important is the number of folds in the filter paper and a bypass in case the filter clogs. I don't know were I saw it, but a few of the filters mentioned are rated better than the Harley filter. Not that the Harley filter is bad, I think it rated pretty good as well.
