amazing how you guys answer so quickly and with so much info. thanks....the dealer will be called as soon as they open. I printed out the code table as well. I will update as the situation progresses.

I gotta say, this will make or break the relationship with my dealer.

I am having MAJOR second thought about trading in my Triumph. I love all bikes but I'm sure you can understand where I'm coming from here. Day one of ownership was heaven. Day 2 was completely devastating.

have you had similar problems?

Can anyone tell me how the bike behaves when the idle developes a "memory" forcing you to "reset it"?

I idle perfectly fine when I start the bike. It's when I try to feather the throttle and move is when it goes crazy.

The "problem" that some people report with idle is cause by the rider turning off the bike with the engine is at higher than normal idle speed (maybe twisting the throttle a little when stretching their thumb to reach the kill switch).
Cycle the ignition 4 times slowly (as stated above) to correct it.
from your description it sounds like something else may be going on. Hope the dealer can get it fixed quickly. Keep us posted.

Makes sense what you said. Thanks to everyone who posted.

By the end of this horror show, I'll be THE authority on the fi and fuel system so I can give the same informative info you guys gave. LOL

I'll keep you guys posted. Cross your fingers that Harley of Boston will take care of this lickity split. So far, I am happy with THEM. Well, unless they let me leave with out the recall being done that is.

Remember electrical components either last forever or "fry" themselves right away. If anything went bad other than the Ecm it is probably in the FBW. Can't understand why the MOCO went that route the cables worked fine!!!
Good luck keep your spirits up and keep us posted.

They did it to save the motor..when you go WOT with the TBW you only get 85% of the full throttle...that's my understanding.
