Default Just baptized with a little rain

Just got through coming back from my first short trip 300 miles! The bike ran fine I ran into some rain and wet I did get, but dried out fast..Question I could not see anything through the windshield and the sunglasses didn't help! Can you use Rain X on your windshield and sunglasses? What do you all recommend to use, I would like to be prepared for my next outing!!

I have found the biiest problem with my goggles is fog, getting a good pair solves this. You shouldn't be looking through your windshield if it is the right height (you should be looking over it) RAINx doesn't work well on plastics, there is a plastic only version can't remember the name though. The normal glass stuff can really mess up a regular plastic windshield.

I said goggles above. Get a good pair. THey will block the rain, and let you see even in the worst downpours.

Don't use RainX on your stock windshield or you'll cloud it up. Best way to stay dry riding in the rain is a full face helmet, rain gear, waterproof gloves and boots. Makes it a non event.

Believe it or not but Harley makes a great substitute for Rain-X for HD windshields and it really works. It comes in a nice neat little plastic dispenser the size of deodorant.

It is little sheets like minature baby wipes. You simply wipe your windshield, mirrors, glasses, etc., let dry--about two minutes and then wipe off with a microfiber towel.

The rain drops slide right off, try it. Here in Louisiana we ride in the rain way more often then I care to say.

hey Rich, I don't mind the rain-bring it on-but I do wonder whats in all the splash up from the cars and trucks in front of me. I try to stay way back from trucks on livestock sale day.

I dont own raingear, but Ive found that having glasses with good eyecups helps keep the rain out of the inside of your glasses. I usually keep a rag in my pocket to wipe off the outsides periodically and you can power through the rain for hours.

its that crap that drives right into your face like needles that I hate.
