My true duals did not fit properly on the left header. They didnt care if it fit or not.
Id call that a bad situation.
They stick out to far and too high, burn your inner thigh on the left leg.
Again - They dont care.
You buy em - You own em.
"Stay away from Samson" is my moto

No problems out of my Sampson pipes in 20,000 miles. No need to contact them so I can't comment on the CS.

Amen, and it's not a new thing either, I put a set of them on a 97 RK in 2001, still have the scar on the back of my left leg.

I have the Caliber true duals and no issues so far. Quality was excellent and they sound awesome!

Been there, done that. Never again. I agree with RocknRod.

It is pretty sad when their customer service told me "Maybe the Vance & Hines look pretty good right now."

I had Samson slip-ons on my 99RK. The finish quality was OK and there was no problem with installation. But, they had a funny metallic ring to them that I never really got used to. They sounded like something was loose and "pinging" at low rpm's. When you rode between high walls (bridge or tunnel) the sound was annoying.

I put Vance & Hines Ovals on my 07 RK and like them much better.

My dealership included the Samsons as part of their "Dealer Accessory" package along with the Stage I, chromed controls, etc. I knew nothing about the product or company. The name "Samson" did raise my eyebrows a bit with a "Who?!"
3500+ miles later I've had no problems with them and their sound and performance has grown on me. I'm quite fond of them now. I've had no problems, so I can't speak to their customer service.

(If we put up a thread like this for EACH aftermarket vendor/manufacturer, I wonder if we'd get proportional results with "I had a product problem..." and "I had a customer service problem..."?)

OK, OK!!!
Thanks to all of you for the speedy replies. Now I understand why some of you don't like Samsons and some of you do. I think that I can now make an informed decision.

Had Sampsom slipons installed when I bought the '06 Ultra. After a little over a year the chrome began to peel off the end caps. Talking to customer service was a waste of time. I switched to Pythons about a month ago and wish I'd done it sooner. Much better, deeper sound and not so ear shattering.
