Default Handlebar wire and cable extension

I have a 2008 Road King Classis and hate the stock bars that came with the bike. I am planning on either Chubby 10" or 12.5" apes for replacements. My question is how hard is it to extend the wiring and to replace the brake lines and clutch cable? I went to my dealer today and the quote that I got was $800 dollars for parts and $640 of labor (7.5 hours). I can find all the parts I need online for ~$600 dollars and have all the required tools to do the job except for tools to bleed the brakes. 7.5 hours just seems like why to much time for this job and am thinking I can do it myself and save 800 bucks.

What is everyones thought and what this job should cost and how hard is it to do on your own?

Thanks for all the answers.

You can get either the Road King High Bars or a set of Heritage bars and you won't have to change any of your cables. Much more comfortable than the stock RK bars and pretty inexpensive. They were 49.95 last year but have went up to 69.95

7.5 hours is actually pretty good for time. I did mine myself and it took a weekend. I am alright with tools but had not done this project before. The brakes are easy. The clutch cable is the kicker. You have to remove the exhaust on the right side (at least I did) to get to the cover. Take your time, save some cash, and have some fun. I was about $500 total into the job with cables. One last tip, don't buy the cables at HD, go to a cycle shop and get Drag Specialties. Much cheaper and are the same thing.
