Hawg Wired......worth all the $$$$...????
I have been thinking more and more about going for a set of Hawg Wired speakers and one of their amps for my Streetglide. I know their products are supposed to be some of the best out there for our applications. I dont want to go too far with my system....and I should say that what I am interested in.....a "system". I just want to have enough power to hear the music cleanly over the road noise and exhaust. My stock HK head unit can in most cases get the job done, but by the skin of its teeth though. I think our stock head unit puts out about 40w-50w total, and the HW amp will boost that to 120w or 150w depending what system I go for.
I just want to make this a one time done deal, and as painless as possible. I dont want to go for my lungs....and I dont want to have to go back inside the fairing for anything audio related for a while! So let me hear from some people who are using any of the Hawg Wired products.....are the H-W products worth the money? Is the install as easy and all connections PAP like their site says?

I bought the hogtunes speakers and upgraded my '08 SG.
I couldnt find anyone that had the hawg wired stuff to listen to... I found several with hogtunes...
What I have found, there are songs that would sound better with amplification but for the most part... everything is loud and clear with the speaker upgrade...

I have the Hawg Wired amp(150watt) and speakers and I'm happy with them. Are they expensive,Yes.Is it alot better than stock,Yes.Does it sound like my home system,No but nothing on a motorcycle doing 70mph will.Do I regret my purchase,No.I wanted to upgrade my sound system one time and do it right. That's what I did am I'm pleased with the results.I remember three or four months ago, someone on this forum spent $4,000.00 to $6,000.00 on a system and still couldn't hear alot bass while at highway speed. He also used up both of his saddlebags.I'm sure it sounded good while parked but the problem we all have is highway speeds.I can hear my Hawg Wired system easily at 80mph but of course,no bass.Shooter 64 on this forum gave me a great deal also.

1. hawg wired system is 120 watts. thats 60 watts per channel. all for a mere 675!!!
2. h/k units only powers about 20 watts.
3. for the money you spend on a hawgwired you can get 2 no 3 no wait 4 times better system . try arc audio setup from firecap501. bets on the market. or tey some research and use the blaupunkt amps with jl audio speakers

Has anyone looked at these 5 1/4" speakers from cycle sounds. They cost more and have a high watt rating, but I do not know if they are any better. However sometimes you get what you pay for. Anyway does anyone have any info on these speakers? Speakers, 5-1/4", 200W (2ohm) 2006-2007 HD
