Thanks for the advice. My bike is a top notch cream puff I bought new but I have put 38k miles on it. Stealer only want to give me 7800 and Kelley Blue Book was 8800.

Just saw a posting for a guy in Fl that traded a 03 Ultra and the dealer gave him 12.5 which is 2000 over the 10.5 in KBB. He purchased an 09 RoadGlid and only had to give 9k difference.

I might need a trip to Fl.

Lotta nice changes. I'll wait for the 100+ RWHP watercooled version though and then give em a year to sort it out. Till then riding my 08 FLHTCU and loving it.

I run my 07 about the exact same as you do your 09 w/o problem. Together the wife and I about equal the weight you mentioned.

Dealer uses NADA, not Kelly. He was about right.

I am looking to buy an 09 SG and a local dealer would give me 13,500 on a 06 heritage classic. Trade in only says 10,700. But i think i can get 14,000.

...if 2010 will have the water cooled, you may just as well wait for 2011 or 2012. I think a water cooled engines will be the most "radical" change of the decade compared to the '09 frame change. I can only imagine the first year release of a "water cooled" will probably have more issues--if the MoCo does indeed releases a WC engine which it could or could not...

As for me, I have to "pull" the trigger on the '09 now--and just hope and pray that any '09 issues will be minor at best...
