Looking at buying a '92 EG but find the dash to be butt-ugly. When doing an install of a '98 inner fairing and gauges onto a '92, what if any major obstacles would I run into? I can imagine the wiring connectors will probably be different. Would I need to replace all of the wiring harnesses?

 

I suspect your mounting hardware might be diffrent. I also recolect that the earlier fairings has different guage & switch postions and maybe one or two less actual guages. The wiring might not stretch to the different locations easily. You might need to go the whole route and change the entire faring body, inner and outer. The windsheilds is also different for fairing to fairing.

 

Yeah, need to add 3 gauges. Wiring may be shorter also. I'd hate to replace the complete harness, especially with a fuel injected harness. Knowing me I'd probably go for it anyway.
