If there was a local place that sold the Redline, I would use that.

But, since Mobil 1 75w90 is easily available.........I've been using it for 3 years/33000 miles with no problems at all.

Redline! Go to their website to order. Shipping cost for 1 qt trans oil, 3 qts crankcase and 1 qt of primary oil was just under 9 bucks.

I don't know about Bel Ray products but I just recently went with Red Line lubricants in three holes on my bike.

As others have said I also get smoother shifts and it is much easier to go into neutral at a stop.

I checked around Austin at different parts shops and even the dealership I bought the bike from and no one has it. I finally bought their "Power Pack" on-line and went with the 20W/60 motoroil because of the intense heat here in Texas. Stop and go traffic on that asphalt covered interstate can not be good on that big air cooled stroker.

Even though I just did the work last weekend I feel very positive about the product.

Good Riding!!!

ShockProof® Gear Oil
A unique lubricant containing a suspension of solid microscopic particles as an extreme pressure agent--unique solid dispersion which cushions gear teeth to help prevent tooth breakage and allows the use of lower viscosities.

Acting like a liquid grease, the viscosity characteristics of ShockProof® allow the lubricants to resist throwoff and provide the protection of a greater film thickness with relatively light fluid viscosity, offering a "best of both worlds" balance of low drag and superior protection.

ShockProof® products work in a variety of differential and transmissions, however, should not be used with pumps, filters, and with small lines--these fluids are designed wet sump or splash type lubrication.

Redline is synthetic, change it at every 20,000 miles always looks good. Doc

I used redline shock proof in my 99 FXDX and it did shift smoother and quiter, however after about 5k miles it started to foam out of the vent tube. It became almost like red whipped cream and would foam out of the vent tube while riding. I then changed over to Mobal1. I have never heard of this before or since and I think I may try Redline again.

almost sounds like water had gotten in the fluid.
