Lightbulb UPDATE...PICS Trip for 7 hrs one way...suggestions?

I live around Philly Pa. I want to go on a trip w/ the wife about 7 hrs one way ride time today and come home tomorrow...any suggestions...North...South...West.

A little update from the weekend.

Here we are just starting out...

Just a view...

We made it...

Humm...she would be pissed if she knew I stuck this in here

We ate here in Cranberry PA. at Pittsburgh...

Of course we saw many more beautiful sites...Total 672 miles left at about noon Sat. returned Sunday at 3:30

We traveled NW toward Puxn. (you know they actually have a Ground Hog Zoo...we saw Phil) then SW...Stayed over at Pitt. got up at 6:00am traveled South into Maryland then SE into W. Virginia then toward home...Sweet ride, great weather, good company, tons of bikes out there (talked to several riders).

We live in NEPA, up near the Scranton - Wilkes-Barre - Hazleton area. Last Saturday, we rode down to Staunton, VA, stayed in Waynesboro overnight, then started back north on the Skyline Drive the next morning. We rode the full length of the Drive up to Front Royal, then home on I-81. Regarding the Skyline Drive, it is a rider's dream. Lots of twists and turns with breathtaking views around every bend. For an overnighter, this would be my suggestion.

P.S.- You can always ride further south and take in part of the Blue Ridge Parkway as well on your return trip north.

Ahh............well.............there are lots of nice places in Pennsylvania to explore. Sullivan County up this way is loaded with great riding roads especially in the area of Eagles Mere and World's End State Park. You have Wellsboro and "The Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania," Tioga State Forest. Also, in NW PA, there's Cook Forest State Park which is another great riding/vacation area. Of course, there are scores of other great areas in the Alleghany National Forest and the numerous state forests, but those I mentioned are three of my favorites.

I think we are going to slide thru Punxi PA. (Ground Hog Day town you know w/ Eddie Murphy) and see how that takes us as the day goes on.

GPS Avoidances; no highway, no toll roads, no interstate, no u turns. 252 miles one way not bad.

Still flexible my mind can easily be changed
