I'm 31 years old. Last summer I took the MSF course and bought a used 06' street glide a month later. 10,000 great miles on it this year. Buy the bike you want. I'm very glad I started on the bagger. I didn't have any problems adjusting to the big bike as it handles great at slow speeds and goes down the road really smooth. It fits my riding style. I've put twice as many miles on it than my truck this year. My only regret is I didn't buy one sooner....
I had never ridden before taking the MSF course. After completing the course i purchased a brand new road king classic less than a month later. Was pretty skittish at first, but within about a month i was comfortable.Have logged 20000 miles in about 2 years and I am very happy i decided to buy what i did and not a starter bike.
After not riding for 36 years took MSF class and bought Ultra. Love it. My son never rode before and took MSF class then bought 08 Ultra. Scared him at first not 4 months later he is very happy he did. Go ahead and have a great time.
2 years ago decided to go from dirt to street, my first ride on a harley was a 883XLC a friend had, the second ride was on my RKC, took the MSF and have never looked back.....
i took my MSF class the first week of june this year, got my license that following tuesday and went that weekend and bought my first bike ever, 2008 RKC. straight newb and im glad i did. Im a big guy so handling it wasnt hard but i love the ride.
My first bike was a honda trail 70 when I was 11, Im 47 now and took the Riders Edge class in April and 1 week later bought an 08 Ultra. The only problem was why in the world did I wait untill 47 to buy a bike.
+1 on the "why did I wait,,," part. 48 iin my case..bought a metric a couple months ago, probably going to make a deal on a 09 SG tomorrow (already rode one - awesome)
