Rode dirt bikes and enduros in the 70's and 80's. Just bought an 09 SG to be delivered in late Sept. Taking the MSF course in mid Sept...can't wait to get back on a bike. A little itimidating, but I am sure that will pass soon.

No, I started out on a Suzuki Savage 650cc single cyclinder, then moved up prety quickly through a few other ones that were a bit bigger before I bought my Ultra Classic this year. Sk

My first bike was a Honda CX-500, that was 11 years ago and I put 300 miles on it. I purchased my '02 Road King April 2008 and have put 3500 on it so far. I was a bit nervous at first but just ride the heck out of it. Also, I took the advance motorcycle saftey course in June, well worth it.

Use to ride metrics. That was about 20 years ago! Got back in the game this year and did it in style with a '08 Street Glide. Weight and size was a concern at first but not any longer. No regrets.

After a hiatus of quite a few years I got a Road King Classic. This was quite a leap from what I had ever ridden before. Ride it awhile and you get used to it. Now I've moved up to an UltraClassic and the Road King seem like a sport bike.

Get what you want at the start and save yourself some money. Harley touring of any type are the best in my opinion.

The RKC is my first bike. Took the Riders Edge course in November 2006 and after renting one, bought the King in early 2007. Like others have said, I'm sorry I waited so long to start riding.

Don't wast your money on a smaller bike if you are going to want a tourer. Tourers are very easy to ride.

My last bike was a 1978 Suzuki GS750, which I sold in 1980. Although I've been on a few bikes since then, had not owned one until late June of this year. i bought a new '08 Ultra Classic, and am absolutely loving it.
