Wished I got the Ultra the first time around and put all that money, from the other two, into one bike

 

My first HARLEY was a tourer (Road King), but my first bike "way back when" was a Honda. Took a break from riding back in 83 after a nasty spill, and eventually bought a Kawi in 98 to see if it was something I wanted to get back into. It was, so traded the Vulcan 1500 Classic for the 2000 Road King. Had an '05 Vulcan 2000 in there too, but traded it in for my current ride back in 07.

 

first harley was a 95 electraglide classic. then got a 78 shovel chopper to add then sold both ad have an 06 flht. rode for 30 yrs before first harley. baggers are the only way to go!!

 

I started off on a RKC took the MSF course practiced in a close by parking lot the ride like a pro excersies & ride ride ride until I felt I was in control of the bike.

 

I started out 30 years ago on an 78 FLH, then a 79 FLH, then my FLHT.

 

My first and only is an '06 RKC. Got my license on it last summer, too.

 

I bought a 08 Superglide and rode it two months and decided to move up to the touring,wife helped me on that too.I wouldn't go back for nothing.I almost dropped it a couple of times while she was getting on but we have it down pat now.I wished I could have both but oh well the finances I have only go so far.

 

Rode a Yamaha 650 back in the early 80's and bought a '08 RKC this year. Took the MSF course and rode the side streets until I felt comfortable. Still on the learning curve but having a great time. Just starting riding 2 up with the wife and she says I'm doing great. Plan to do a road trip in Sept. Wish I hadn't waited so many years to get back at it.

 

Same here. I rode a KZ1000 for about 4 years, some 30 years ago now. And I'm about to go out buy a Road King, just trying to pin down the color. Thats the hard part

 

Me too,I was upside down about 3 grand because of it.Can't backtrack now.I am really liking my Electra Glide Standard.Crimson Red Sunglow
