Default Upgrading a Harmon Kardon into 2002 Ultra?

I have a 2002 FLHTCUI Ultra Classic.
It originally came with the cassette CB, but in '03 I put in the CD player.
Now I would like to upgrade again and install the Harmon Kardon so I can have the MP3 ability. From the photos I have seen, the connectors seem to look different.
Do I need an adapter in order to plug this radio in?
If so, do they make an adapter?

I know a lot of people have been recommending the Sony radios and I admit they look
good, but I need the radio to be weather proof and I want the handle bar controls to work
and I would also like to retain my CB radio.
Thanks!!!

I would look for other radios that would suit your needs.
Lots of reports of problems the the HK units.
Mine in an 07 has been ok but it is finicky, especially when playing home recorded
mp3s.

I have no problems with my HK. I don't use the radio that much. I use the mp3 thru my aux via the Zumo 550, ipod or a mp3 cd zero problems. I like having the CB and WB Alert and it is all controlled at the finger tips. Can't control Zumo or ipod other than volume from the controls.

The Hk will plug into one of the plugs on your ultra for the front speakers and controls. You will need the ultra overlay harness for the rear speakers and intercom. You will need the separate CB module and new plug for the cb antenna. You also have to have the radio programed on some one else's 06 or later bike all these functions are turned on by the serial data link to the digital technician.

There are SO MANY stereo units that are far better then the HD HK
Pioneer
Jansen
Kenwood
Sony
@ 1\2 the cost of a HD HK.
Check out the after-market Fairing Builders most if not all can be wired for your switches
