I am thinking about buying a 2005 Road King Classic, my previous bikes have been a 2005 Victory vegas, 2005 Honda VTX 1800c and 2004 VTX 1300c, is the Harley going to be as reliable? The one I am looking at has 3800 miles on it.
Welcome from Montana. My Road (sig pic) is going on 67,000 and hasn't had any significant problems. The heads have never been off, and other than cam bearing tensioner's back at 11000, it's been bulletproof. If you get a good deal on it, go for it, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
What's the build date? Early '05s had the valve guide issues. Have they been replaced on this one? (no reason to not buy it if the price is right, just a heads up)

+1 on all of the above. I just got my 03 FLHRI and have put over 6k miles on it since the end of June. I traded my Low Rider for it and there's a world of difference in handling. I can ride the RK just fine, but am still having a hard time getting used to the heavy front end and touring suspension. It's like going from a Porsche to 72 Buick. Nimble it ain't.
