Stock HD plugs work perfect, they only cost around $2, and they only have to be replaced every 20,000 miles.
Why complicate things?

again-just tryin ta save a trip to the dealer. not a cost/performance issue. but HD dont make plugs so its gotta be one of the majors and they gotta be on the shelf of a parts house locally

Just a note for those who have the chrome trim piece that surrounds the spark plug (Sorry I don't know what it's called). NGK and Autolite, maybe others, have an 11/16 socket head and this size socket will not fit thru that chrome piece which is a little bit of a pain to remove.

I am running the platinum splitfires in my carbed bike. I have it tuned rich (cause I like the gurgling and exhaust popping on decel).
Definitely runs better than with the stock plugs.
