I love it when a plan comes together - probably because that so rarely happens to me. Anyway, the RG was ready when promised and as an added bonus, PhilM (who I'd never met before) met me at the dealer and gave me some "new owner hints". He also talked me into buying my first official farkle - felt liners for the glove boxes. Thanks Phil! (Guess this makes him an "enabler".)

Due to previously scheduled commitments, I was only able to get about a 20 mile ride today but it was enough to make me happier than a puppy with 3 peckers!

Thanks again to everyone for the warm welcome!

Ya know, as awesome as it looks in that picture... it looks even better in person! I have never seen one that color. I think I might be jealous...???...

Good to meet ya & look forward to logging some miles soon. Maybe Saturday?

Saturday's not looking good at this point - at least until late afternoon. On a side note, I definitely need to take advantage of your rodeo training. The ride home from the dealer (I took the long way) drove home the differences in handling between the Glide and the ST1300 I just got off of. Yikes!

TowJam that is one good looking bike. I have the same color and have had mine since last September. I upgraded from a fatboy and what a big differance. The only problem I am having is with the windshield rubber gasket wont stay under the windshield and the windshield is rubbing on the inner fairing. Bike is at the dealer now trying to get it right for the second time. Any of the other Roadies here having this problem. I here it is a common problem with the 05 and 06's ? Good luck and enjoy your new bike.

HD has made a design change with the rubber gasket. I don't know if this started with the '06 models or just recently was introduced. The new design seems a little "robust". You might ask your dealer about replacing your existing gasket with it. If I get a chance this weekend, I'll try to post a close-up pic of the new gasket.
