I have a 07 flhx and yesterday noticed this nice little reflection inside there as the bike idled. It was water in the bottom of the housing and the lights reflecting off of it. So has anyone else had water sneak in the housing and is this common or should I have it replaced? I also have it modified so that it plugs into the license plate portion instead of the tourpak harness. Will this be and issue when it comes to a warranty claim?

 

This is definitely a warranty issue. Weather they honor it, who knows but it's worth a try.

 

I reinforced the sealing edge and where the wires go into the light itself with silicone. I rode in TORRENTIAL rains for days without a leak. You may want to consider this if/when you put the second one on.
