Default speed sensor

From info. that I have gotten on this site, have come to the conclusion that the speed sensor on my 2007 FLHR might be faulty. The bike will quit at cruising speeds and can be restarted right away by cycling the kill switch and pushing the starter. Anyone else experience this? Where is the speed sensor located on this bike?

In the top of the tranny behind the oil dipstick. Before buying one, take it out and clean it, shavings mess it up. If you need one its 74402-05 for $54.70

Not to hijack the thread but would a faulty speed sensor also cause the speedo to stop working and the turn signals to loose their auto cancel function. My buddy's had this happen yesterday during a charity ride.

My 07 FLHX does the same thing I just ride the crap out of it. No problems other then the speedo stickin every now and then. Should I get this looked at? Hate to be 3 hours away from home and get stuck.

I believe the speed sensor is by the oil filter & the neutral switch is on top of the tranny.

My 2007 Street Glide just has the neutral switch on the top of the tranny with 2 wires
Cant find its location diagram shows it to be beside it but it not there
