bought the siren yesterday and instructions say that on '04 and later that "All FL models" on right side.

 

I put it on my 08 Ultra early this spring....had a couple trips planned that fell through due to one thing or another, but still glad to have it. One word of advice, don't pick your bike up off the kickstand without the fob in your pocket....that sucker is loud!!!

 

bought mine yesterday and for '04 and later models, it says "ALL FL MODELS" remove right side cover, i'm confused, i don't want to tear it apart and be on the wrong side

 

NoTyme - the rechargeable pager - does the dealer need to program it or can i do it myself. they want 45 for programing unit,

 

Once the smart siren is installed mating the pager to it is real easy. You should have gotten a little black book with the pager that gives very good instructions for mating the pager with the bike, it only a minute or 2.

 

the least expensive one comes with a fob and the rest have a pager.

 

The pager is easy to program. You can do it yourself. If I recall correctly it is just a matter of holding a button on the pager while turning the ignition on.

 

windup - I have the factory HD smart with FOB & siren installed by dealer , they really insisted they need to do it... bull_t// - can u post or email me the procedure to set it up. want to see it b4 i buy it..thanks. this is the one i am looking at

With the rechargeable pager you hold the on/off button for about 5 seconds until all the lights come on, then with the pager in hand cycle the ignition switch on and off to arm the security system. You will get a confirmation beep on the pager and you are done.

 

thats it !!! thanks. how is the pager for distance and how long does the battery last once fully recharged ?
