Putting Chubby 575's on my glide and want to replace the 2 piece handlebar clamp with a 1 piece. Does anyone know if the plain 1 piece clamp from H-D for $15. is thin enough to work? Will it fit under the radio? I know someone recommended the clamp from Custom Chrome, but they tell me that item is back-ordered for 2-3 weeks.

The plain chrome H-D clamp looks like the same size as the one in CC catalog and the local dealer has them in stock?? Anyone use it?? Thanks.........

I just put the WO575's on my Street Glide. The one piece HD clamp definitely will not fit. There is barely any clearance at all under that radio - maybe 1/8". I just kept the stock 2-piece clamps. No problems so far.

Just use the stock 2 piece clamps. The directions telling you to use the one piece were probably written by some lawyer!
I used the 2 pice stock clamps there is nothing wrong with them.

 

I used the one piece clamp on my RK, no problem with the fit there. But I don't think it makes a rats *** difference over the two piece clamp.

 

Iv'e got the 575's and the stock clamp & risers on my Street Glide 5k miles no problems!
