Click on sig URL below. I can't get the photo to come up automatically.

After I installed these I felt the saddlebag guards did not detract from the bike's appearance, and the piece of mind they give is worth it to me. I also wanted to install saddlebag guard bags for the extra storage.

I bought these on Ebay for $100, from an RK owner who wanted the SG look. There are usually a few pairs available at any given time, but beware of guards with road rash. If the auction doesn't specify the condition, ask before bidding! Be also advised that you'll need the saddlebag supports (#49194-85 and 90781-93) and the various bolts for attaching the guards to the frame and supports.

just picked up my new 09 SG yesterday. I was thinking I wanted these on mine too. Glad to see pics. I wonder how much protection they do or if they are more for looks?.

You can get them with very minor road rash real cheap if your are going to powdercoat.

If you ever drop your bike and have to buy a set of saddlebags, you will know. I put em on when I went to an advance rider course. I will take them off when I put on my running lights though.
