+1. I've tried all the other tricks but the tin foil works the best IMO.

Its the same method I use and works flawlessly for about free in price.

I slip the tin foil under mine, punch a hole in the bottom part of the filter, let it drain for a bit, R&R the oil filter and not one spilled drop of oil.

I don't use anything. I make a mess, then I spray it down with brake cleaner and wipe it with a rag.

all these are good ideas. however i wouldnt recommend any type of solvent or cleaner as it tends to dry out the rubber bushing in the front motor mount. then as time goes by the mount crushes the rubber and the mount fails. soap and water is best

This is true, also B/C is bad on hoses and wires, not to mention it etches paint and plastic.

The kids drink regular pepsi but I will change if I have to. I learned the hole in the filter trick here on the forum and between the two it works. I loosen the filter enough before punching the hole so I can spin it off by hand after it drained.

i cut a 2 litre pepsi bottle you cut the end off and then make a 3 in cut in the plastic

it should look like a scoop when your done i also put a rag down 1st i only lose a few

drops-ride safe
