Default Did I get a good deal or over pay?

I put a deposit on a 2004 Electra Glide Standard today. It has 24,400 miles on it. The guy has alot of harley chrome on it, different wheels, black front forks, radio, ect he said he has 5k to 8k in accessories. I am getting it for $13,200 do you think that is a good price. By the way it looks like I am moving from the dyna forum to the touring forum. Thanks!

12400 for carb 12700 for injected retail value. add ons usually add 10% regardless of the amount of stuff. so sounds like a good deal. imo the 88 motors are better than the 96" but hust mho welcome to the forum enjoy!!

Thumbs down 2004 flht

Given the mileage on the bike according to KBB its worth $8500 Trade In and 1350 Retail which is the price a dealer would sell it at so I think you payed at least $1000 more than its worth. No warranty! and as we all know any do dads you put on a bike you never get the money back for. I sold my 2005 Road King with 10K miles last november for $13000 and I think I gave it away no warranty but the bike was showroom condition all receipts dealer service I would look around! Right now the dealer told me that the factory is cutting back on production of the 09's and most dealers have 08's left over. You could get a newer dresser for maybe $15,000? Now that I think about it does this bike have fuel Injection? If not and it has a carb it's not worth it!!! You can do better unless you really know the bike and owner !! My 02 cents, Bill

If it has a strong powertrain it seems like a good deal. Especially if that's what you wanted. 2003 were the best graphics in my opinion.

With all the extras thats not a bad deal. You can spend that easily on accessories on a less decked out bike that was a better deal. 88 is a good engine very dependable. Everything is worth whatever anyone will pay for it. If you like it buy it.

Default Always someone

Someone will always tell you better. If you like it and your happy with the deal then its a good deal.

You are not in a apples to apples world here. To many things vary just make sure the thing is sound in the drive train.
