If you can burn the music to a CD, you can then rip (convert) it to mp3 by using Audiograbber, a free program. Once you have the mp3 files, burn them as DATA, NOT AS MUSIC, to a CD. You should get well over a hundred songs on one CD and the HK will play them just fine. (well...it's supposed to anyway)

If you have a lot of music on the ipod that you need to convert it's a good idea to use a rewritable CD for ripping so you can use it more than once.

With iTunes can you burn the CD and have folders? I use that quite a bit (much easier with 135+ songs to sort through!), and from what I've seen, Windows Media Player and iTunes don't create CD's that way. I use Pinnacle InstantCD+DVD creator, never had any problems, and creates the music in the folders I want it to.
Unfortunatly I-Tunes does not do that Cryptoboy, and it is a pain.

However if you have all your music in MP3 format you can use Windows Media Player, it is free and it should be on most of your Windows PC's. You just have to point Media Player at the folder that you have all your music stored in (usually My Docuements/My Music) and it will load them all into Media Player (Just like I-Tunes). Then burn the MP3 CD right out of Media Player and it will create directories (Artist then Album). But it sounds like you already have a way to do that, is the Pinnacle software free?

Yeah, the Windows version doesn't format it in the folders the way I like (I'll create folders for specific songs, and name them whatever I'd like). The software I use isn't free, I'm not even sure if they still make it, it's a few years old now, but it works the way I want it, and I guess it's proof I'm getting old since I don't feel like changing!

Default I-Tunes

My daughter has a ton of music on her I-Tunes, but when I was reading the help files, her software says it can convert from I-Tunes to MP3, but you will lose some of the sound if you convert from one compressed format to another. So, I imported the music again and set it up to import it as MP3.

LOL, I actually do it the same way. I remove the track numbers from the file name , rename the directory and sort them how I want. Then I just burn it with Nero as a Data CD. I just wanted to let the original poster know that you CAN do it right out of I-Tunes.

This whole 10 differnet formats of music is a real pain.

What if you plug your I-Pod into the auxillary ? Will it work? Also, I plugged my earphones, with an adapter, into my intercom port. I heard the music(Radio and CD) real loud and ccould not get the volume control to change it. Can anyone tell me why?

Yes you should be able to plug it into your AUX port on the front and listen to it like a normal CD or radio station.
