Selling RK. Street Glide or Road Glide next?

I agree with mrbuck. An aftermarket fairing would be a good way for you to keep that sweet ride, still have the tunes and wind protection and have a ton of versitility.
As far as the RG vs. SG, I have an 08 RG now and due to the buffeting and other wind issues, I have it traded for an 09 SG. Just my $.02 though.

Go rent both of them and get which one you like the best. Hell, you might even wanna keep the RK after riding them for some miles.

Dude, If you get rid of that king you'll wish you hadn't. I don't know what you're looking to get for it but I'd be surprised if you got $18K in today's market. If you bought that thing new I'm guess you have twice that in it. Detachable fairing is the way to go. You obviously don't mind spending money on your bike so go get a nice one with all the bells and whistles. Hopefully you can still match the paint.

Ride/looks = SG but best ride is RG!
I have an 07 SG and wouldn't trade it for another bike, the look is cool/slick and the ride is sweet. I have also driven an 06 RG through some crazy weather in the Canadian Rockies, 5 days/1800K and the ride was better than my SG. I LOVED that bike but I couldn't quite get my head around the look - just a personal thing. The fixed fairing is tough to beat in terms of tracking and aerodynamics - it is a fantastic ride. I have driven every bike in the HD lineup and the RG is the best ride of them all. If you like the look of the RG then this is the bike for you. If you are looking for a great ride and, in my opinion, a cooler/classier look then the SG is the bike for you. Good luck, you can't go wrong with either one.
