HK radio and mp3 files on cd
#21
Man, I LOVE the MP3 player on my '07 RG. If you haven't been using this on your '06 you're missing out.
But I burn with Nero and average 110 to 120 songs per disk. I'm going to have to check into what these other guys are talking about burning as data rather than as music files.
I really enjoy mixing my own CD's though. It's great! I can't remember the last time I listened to the radio...

I,ve got an 08 E G Classic and am way dissappointed with the H K radio as far as playing mp3s burned on CDs. It turns out that the radio doesn't recognize folders. I have almost my entire music collection ripped to mp3s. I have put artist on cds to play in my car, but the H K wont play the disk. Every cd player in my house and cars play them fine. The H K says bad disk error. I had to reburn disks specifically for the bike, bummer, and the radio's playback options suck. Example: Cd with all Dire Straights / Mark Knopfler albums. 8 entire albums on one disk. Thats great but there's a catch. You can't play any single album. You put in the disk and it plays all the track 1s in alphabetical order then the track 2s and so on. I'm looking for an aftermarket radio/cd/mp3 that will work with the hand controls. Anybody know of one? Also the radio does have a jack to plug a player into but thats not the pointStratoles
