no damm windex, it has amonia in it, micro cracks in the surface that way, glass plus has no amonia and is safe on harleys plexiglas. but the towel trick is the bomb, like the other guy said, hot wet towel , go make a pot of coffee, when you're ready to sip a cup, the bugs will have turned to goo that's easy to wipe off without scratching, also paper towels will create mini scratches, soft cotton, or better yet, micro fiber. want my windshield to last a long time, and harleys scratch and squirrel remover does remove small scratches, you're on your own with the squirrels though.

Does the hydrogen peroxide dull the paint any? Know a friend who uses it on a white bike, not sure of effect on other painted surfaces...

I use the Novus stuff from the dealership, white bottle blue lettering $3.95, works like a charm I spray onto a microfiber towel and wipe off the bugs, the towel I use is dedicated to the windshield only so no foreign matter will scratch the shield. I've got about 17,000 miles on this shield and still is clear.

Not telling anyone to do this ,,,but,,,it has worked on my truck and my fifth wheel rv. I use dryer softener sheets. Keep them wet and rub slowly. New or used work. If you use the new ones you need to clean the film off with water and a soft cloth

Agree. Also, buy a can of plexiglass cleaner and keep it in your bag.

If you clean it with plexus before the ride then they come off easier when it is time to clean it later. I always carry a small spray can of it and a rag on the bike when traveling and clean it up at gas stops.
