Dug this old thread up and realized that I forgot to provide you all an update from our trip.
Once charged we were able to get 8 hours of constant use with them. Communicating was clear and had no issues. Definately a great product for those not having the HD option.
Thanks for the update. We have the regular Scala's and are not too impressed. Now that the wife has her own bike we are looking at the Q2's. Good to hear they have made some improvements.

Thanks for following up with review after using them. I've just started looking at these for bike-to-bike comm with the wife. Good to know they work well and the battery life is a real plus over what I've seen with the Bluant headsets. Thanks again.
Ride safe.
Let me get this straight, with this setup I can talk to my wife riding on the back of my streetglide without having to turn around and yell and she will here me? Do they require anything else to work?

Yes but there is a less expensive version for same bike communications. The Q2 is for bike to bike but it will work for you.

Does the same company make the cheaper one? Have you tried it and how does it work? Have to forgive my ignorance, just got back riding after 20 year layoff and alot of things have changed.
