Change your email address to a web based email provider, such
as Yahoo, gmail, etc. It doesn't matter who, just one of those places where you read your email at a website. (NON SMTP/POP3)
There is a bug with the forum software that is causing the notification emails to go into a dumpster somewhere, but just the ones that
go to outlook/outlook express type clients. There are some people
that still get theirs through outlook, but very few.
See
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/general-harley-davidson-chat/265588-attn-admin-i-have-info-on-email-problems-with-vbulliten-v3.html

Or, see this one for a cleaver workaround
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/general-harley-davidson-chat/265734-how-to-fix-your-hdforums-email-for-outlook-2003-and-2007-a.html

I changed my address to a yahoo adress, and the emails now
work fine.

Hope this helps
Rags

I have two pop3 account that work in Outlook. The Comcast account will not work. Comcast has been known to be overly aggressive at blocking email and domains weather good or bad. I suspect Internet Brands is forwarding all outgoing mail through Gmail for anti-spam reasons which is causing this problem. If this is the case, and as you suggested, using a Gmail account should fix the email notification problem.

That's good to know. This is probably the best solution for those that cannot receive notification with any of there existing email accounts.

Here are some instructions for others that are having the same problem.

Ah'm frustrated right now, because after all the waiting, the system is still buggy, so ah don't git email notifications. Havin' to set up yet another email account just ta git the updates just seems like a PITA......

+1 on the PITA.

Used to be able to get emails for EVERY post in a subscribed to forum.

And I can't get any gifs to work.

Maybe the bugs will be resolved by Christmas.

If you have mutable email accounts, have you tried them all? And yes, I agree it can be a pain in the butt.

I haven't found a way to do this either.

And I can't get any gifs to work.
I could not get the animated avatar gif to work after uploading it as a file from my computer, so I placed it on line and linked to it. Now it's animated.
