brake wear

I never pinch a penny on my bikes, but can you please define "much better" a bit more deeply? I just want to know in what respect are the Lyndalls better? Less dust, last longer. better feel, less fade, noise.....what? The reason I ask....well I have two reasons actually......are because for one...I am happy with the brakes on my SE-Deuce. I recently changed the rear pads that were OEM-HD and just replaced with another set of HD pads. They didn't last all that long<8Kmi. but I dont care how long they last I care mostly about stopping distances. Second reason is because when I bought the pads, I bought 3 sets....figuring what the hell I will need to replace the fronts sooner than the rear.....but it didnt work out that way. My front pads still have about 40%-50% material left.

By much better, I mean brakes are twice as effective. Much less input for same stopping power. Also there is almost no noise with these pads. As for the dust, only time will tell. My stock pads had very little wear so it is not going from worn out to new, these things just grab better. Be sure to follow lyndalls directions for cleaning dust from calipers for best results, no sticking. Hope this helps.

I just put 3000 miles on my new Lyndalls. Definitely a lot less dust and are worth the price just for that. They brake very well, but I didn’t feel I got all that much better braking over the old pads. I can’t say if they last better because they still look new at 3000 miles.
The main problem with my old brake pads was the dust gumming up the calipers and making my brake lever very spongy. I could eventually squeeze the lever to the grip. I fixed the problem by cleaning the calipers with brake cleaner ever 2000 miles or so to get them back to normal. After 3000 miles on these Lynbdalls, my brakes still work as good as new. So I think the Lyndalls are worth it for that reason alone. I also don’t have to clean my white walls near a much either.
