You might consider taking your bike to Dealer or Indy that can check your sensors. On a bike that new and unmolested, I would think that it would be a bad 'signal'. If that didn't turn up anything I would look at the fuel delivery system.

I get about 32mpg. mine is stock except for the IED.

I'm thinking that my mileage would probably increase if I changed the airbox and tuned it. right now it seems to be starving a bit when it should be in the power curve..gotta give it lots of throttle.

On my '06 I would guess I rode at about 20~30% throttle at highway speeds, 70 to 80 MPH, I was running a pwer commander with a K&N filter and a FatCat...I would always get in the mid 40's or better
On the ultra I'm past half throttle almost all of the time.I rode home from Dallas yesterday with the wind at my back, 6th gear and running about 85 mph, when I stopped for fuel I got 27mpg

With some of that reading I guess I should be happy with 42 mpg!

My bike is a 95" Stage II, SE air cleaner w/K&N, with Duals and SuperTrapp slipons. I haven't Dyno'd it yet but it's giving me 37 mpg on the freeway with a canned download for the PCIII. I plan to have it Dyno'd for Economy and hope to improve this just a wee bit but not complaining. My riding is exclusively long distance freeway commuting so MPG's is all I care about basically.

I picked up an '01 E-glide in March. Bone stock with only 5,000 miles on the odometer. As of this evening it's got 10,850 on the odo. It's still bone stock and so long as I ride like a little old lady on a Sunday afternoon (under 60mph and lite on the wrist) I get close to 50mpg. When I get on it, the mileage drops to 40 - 42. Of note, over 4th of July weekend riding 2-up heavy load pushing a stiff head wind, I got 35mpg.
