06 SG replace hard bags with leather hard bags
Doing 80 mph down the interstate, hit a big bump, left bag comes unlatched, opens, lid is ripped off and smashed by the cars behind me. I have had the latches replaced and have had the latches open when hitting rather large bumps. I am now looking at replacing the hard bags with leather hard bags. Something simillar to the Road King Classic bags. Anyone replace their bags or have ideas for manufacturer and or retailers to contact? Ideas or pictures?

yes. When they are locked obviosly no issue. \\;Just seem to forget to always lock em.

Like others have said, if in doubt lock them ! +1 on no leather.

there is a 2001 road glide on here yesterday with leather bags on it looked nice

maybe a strap like the tour pac lid to keep them from flyin open. oh yeah LOCKEM!!!!!

is this common? I was considering changing out my RK Custom bags for hard bags, but im not to sure now.

There is a guy with a white Street Glide with leather bags on here. Doesn't look bad at all.
