Do you know what type or manufacturer of the bags?&nbsp\\; Most leather bags will not work as they are not molded on the back around the shocks....just wondering.

Leather bags might look good at first. Think about what they will look like a year or two or three from now. The bags on my Heritage look bad after 14 months. Wish I had hard bags. Just lock 'em.

Huh? Seen lots of bikes where the bags look very good after years of usage.

I will agree though that I never understood why the heritage bags aren't reinforced from the factory. All the ones I've seen look saggy in short order.

I bought some road king custom bags for mine a few years back. Still look brand new. However, I do agree about the Heritage bags....they look terrible after a year or so unless you keep them full all the time.

Nearly 67K, and I've never, I repeat NEVER had this happen. Could this be operator error, or perhaps a defective latch?

Never had that happen before, but I have ridden down the road with my lid open when I forgot to close it!

of course, leather bags!

they look way better and hold more--- should have just gotten them from the get go-- better yet, just gotten a King Classic---

hard baggers, try this--- go to the store, get the new mini-keg of Heinekin- try to get it into your hard bag--- tell me what happens- nevermind, I already know--- had my beer as soon as i got home--- ;-]

Which bag holds more? hard or leather (RK custom)?
I am still trying to fit a half helmet in my leather bags... my personal opinion, I like the look of leather bags better (seems that most don't)
