Riders advantage course states that you shift to match RPM, that is why you would down shift as you stop.&nbsp\\; +1 downshift as you stop

 

Downshift as I brake.&nbsp\\; You have to be able to duck and fly when needed.&nbsp\\; Most 2 vehicle accidents happen at an intersection.&nbsp\\; you need every option open.

My dad just got plowed in Canada on his way down from Alaska on his EG standard.&nbsp\\; pushed him and the bike 30 ft down the road.&nbsp\\; gal on her cell didnt see the bike or the 4 way stop. If he had been looking in his mirrors and looking for a way&nbsp\\;out i dont think it would have happened. He downshifts as well, just didnt look or see it comming.

My course instructor said the same thing. Not sure if it is a course thing or not.

Not me.....I just put the boots to the *** fault, stand up, and pull back on them bars....saves on gas,brake pads,clutch,engine wear, and gym memberships. Just remeber to buy BOBO's from wal-mart shoe dept.[sm=yikesomg.gif]
