This is a metal on metal sound. But will come and go. Over the last 200 miles it is really getting bad. I will try in the morning to make a dealer in Sioux Falls about 90 miles away. I am presently in Sioux City tonight. Any body have any ideas.

I just started pulling a small trailer and am also running Mobil 1 15w 50. Could either of these cause this to happen? It almost sounds like a tappet bearing???? Will dealers this close to Sturgis have any staff on Sundays? And is this a problem that could cause major damage if I try the 90 mile run in the morning. I really need some expert tech help here.

I am running a oil cooler and a digital temp gauge that only reached a high of 221 today.
