I used HD regular oil until 10,000 mile service. I just did the 10,000 service and used HD syn 3 in all 3. Should have done more research.&nbsp\\; Want to switch to amsoil but is that too many oil types and brands to switch to soon.&nbsp\\; Maybe wait until the next service but definatlet want to change out tranny oil now. Syn 3 sucks for trannies.&nbsp\\;

 

I switched to mobil one at 10,000 and never looked back It has been fine ...I just rolled 30,000 last month and it's running fine...

 

Of course you can switch now. No harm done except the extra cost.

I know that indiscrimatley changing brands to often can cause problems, foaming and st.&nbsp\\; So I guess 3 brands shouldnt be too many in a short time? I screwed up and should have went to amsoil first.&nbsp\\; Thanks for the reply

 

as long as the oil meets the same specs you should be fine.

I run Mobil-1 synthetic 20-w-50 V Twin oil&nbsp\\;in engine and primary
and Mobil 1 synthetic 75-w-90 in trans

 

Change oil any time you want. Im using 20W50 AMSOIL in all three.
