I glued mine and the weather strips no more problems.

I found the ultimate solution: just take it off. I no longer use the rubber piece at all and it works fine.

For those that change between two different windscreens, why not just go to the dealer and purchase another rubber windshield strip and glue it to your second windscreen? Then all you need to do is swap them out without having to also swap the rubber strip.

Me too. I don't even notice it being gone.

So typical of Harley to give you a defective piece of crap and then charge you $150.00 to get a real one...

I am truly disappointed by the lousy product they are putting out...I haven't even mentioned the paint disappearing off the fairing underneath the rubber piece...intentional? you can always bet on a second class product from Harley..

What happened, who let the suits run the place?

It's only the Canadian Harleys that are defective. NOI (no offense intended)

All the US HDs are perfect in every way.

I put the chrome trim on from Kury since I like chrome. Works for me.

I think Yaffee is now selling a trim piece in chrome and in BLACK, with LED's if you want. Rubber trim sux, but if you take your time it will stay on. I tried gluing it on, no good if you change the windshield seasonally. That said I ride around with 5 extra well nuts and a shorty screwdriver in the front glove box, and tighten the screws quite often.

Re: Harley Trim

Do you fing that the chrome reflects into your eyes. I would prefer a plastic trim that you could paint. Seen any?
