I just greased mine as part of the 1000 mile service. It took a bit over half a tube of grease to fill. LOTS of pumps. &nbsp\\;

I've seen a couple different threads about leaking or oozing grease after servicing, Is that because they get filled too full, or just a fact of life that you will have to clean up for awhile after servicing?

The high temp stuff in a brand/flavor of your choice.&nbsp\\; The regular temp stuff will begin to ooze out almost immediately.&nbsp\\;

You're right. I used the standard off the shelf HD grease and it is still oozing all over after 3000 miles.

I planed on using HD Special Purpose Grease 99857-97 as recommended in the manual and it states that it is high temp grease. Dose the hot weather oozing come from using non HD grease or dose the recommended HD grease ooze?
