The problem with the bikes without the batwing is you are too far from the windshield right in the buffet zone

I agree with that&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; To be in still air around the helmet level the shield would either have to be very high or very low so I just wear earplugs

My ultra is much better than my road king was for wind and rain. The Road Glide I tried just about beat the crap out of my head so that would have taken a bit of tuning to fix. Anyway, the bat wing on the ultra works very nicely.

Not to worry.&nbsp\\; If you really want the RK, there are plenty of things you can do to cut down the buffetting, but it'll never be as good as a batwing.&nbsp\\;

I put the Baker Built Harley Windblockers on my 14 Ultra which definitely reduced buffeting. I also have the Clearview Shields X-Large Wide shield with recurve. I look just over the top of the shield and have little buffeting. I like the Baker Windblockers because I can adjust them to control the airflow in cold or hot weather. This combination also gives us great weather protection on our tours through the Rockies where the weather can be severe and change quickly.
