RE: Oil Change
Get yourself a FACTORY service manual, and I guess about $20K in quality tools, and dig in to that bad girl Ultra! Just kidding about the $20K.....but you will need a good quality tool set.....I would not get anything of lesser quality than craftsman though......oh and you may as well get yourself a good jack....like the craftsman yellow or red....or even a Handy brand lift!

RE: Oil Change
Maybe this will help someone else. \\; I used to have a mess everytime I took the filter off when changing oil, but I started using a 2 liter pop bottle to build an oil catch pan and it works awesome (maybe I read the idea here?). \\; Take the 2 liter bottle, cut the bottom end off, then cut about 1/2 the bottle off long ways but leave the cap. \\; When you go to remove the filter, make sure you have a wrench that slips over the end and takes a 3/8" ratchet. \\; Slip the oil catcher (remnants of the 2 liter bottle) up under the filter and hold tight. \\; After you remove the filter, you should catch all the oil in the catch. \\; When done, you can dump the oil from the catch and keep it for next time, or discard it and ge ta new one next time!

\\; Welcome to the "Pirate" side of the street. \\; Get a service manual and take your time. \\; Get a basic set of handtools and then buy your speacial tools as required after you read he book and then plan out your maintance apporach. \\;Anywhere that you can change out your torx head screws for allen heads I always do that. \\; Less chance of stripping allens and easier to torque with a good set of allen sockets. \\; Oil changes, every one has their way of changing oil as you will if you keep doing it. \\;Listen to the ideas everyone has and go with what works for you. I have resigned mysel to cleaning up the little mess that is left with the oil filter and not worry about it. \\; Good luck.
