Default Tour pak question

I have a laydown license plate and currently mt pak is off.&nbsp\\; I do not have the quick detach kit, it is hard mounted.
Do you know if the stock license plate mount supports the pak?&nbsp\\; Will it be ok with out the stock Plate mount?
I don't want to hit a hard bump here on these wonderful Missouri roads, NOT, and have something crack or fall off.

Thanks

No&nbsp\\;the license&nbsp\\;does not support the tour pack.&nbsp\\; You will have to relocate the spring that holds the passenger intercom connector in its slot .

Good question...I too would like to know. I have the EGC and would probably like to lay the plate down. looks like the present backplate looks like a type of support.

On the stock Ultra and EG Classic, the plate that the license plate mounts to IS the rear structural support for the tourpak.

Warden, I assume that what you have done, is remove your tourpak, removed the mounting hardware, and replaced the it with a laydown license plate? And what your asking is, if you wish to put the tour pak back on, using the STOCK mounting hardware, will you have to remove the laydown license plate and go back to the stock one.

YES.

The only way to use the laydown plate and mount your tourpak, is to use the quick detach mount. The quick detach mount does NOT use the license plate as a structural member.

In a nutshell,

Quick detach, you can keep your laydown plate

Original hard mount, you MUST use the original license plate braket.

No the license does not support the tour pack. You will have to relocate the spring that holds the passenger intercom connector in its slot .
Bluerose, This is not correct. The stock setup DOES use the license plate holder as the rear support for the tourpak. Unless I am misunderstanding your answer.
