Default Stupid windshield screws!!!!!!!!!!

So here's my problem, and I know I can't be the only Harley owner that has experienced this.&nbsp\\; My windshield screws have worked their way loose and pulled the brass(?) bushings out of the inner fairing.&nbsp\\; What is the solution that the rest of you have used.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
I'm hoping that I won't have to replace the entire inner faring just for those screws.&nbsp\\; Hopefully someone has a great solution to simplify this.&nbsp\\;

You are tightening them to tight.
It has happened to me also, I used a wood clamp and pushed they back in.
Some of the fellows have glued them back in place.
That problem has been discussed before on this forum, do a search and you should get more information.

&nbsp\\;Harley dealer has a kit......that screws in in-place of the brass barrels/bushings.
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Me?&nbsp\\; I had the center one pop out. I coated it with JB weld and shoved it
back in...waited an hour put the screw back in.&nbsp\\; So far, so good.
&nbsp\\; Do not over tighten.&nbsp\\; Re-tighten as needed.

Mine did the same thing. If you need to get it out and it is on the end I took a butter knife and slid it down between the two parts and kept some pressure on the brass piece and it came off. 2 part epoxy worked for me. Be very careful not to fill up your threads. Good Luck and yes it is APITA Barely snug when you tighten them. A 1/2 of drip of blue lock tight will help.

Thanks everyone, you've all been very helpful.&nbsp\\; I had tried some JB weld stick epoxy last night, but I think it was a little bit too dry.&nbsp\\; Also I think I put the one screw back in too soon and that caused it to pull back out before it set up, because the other one is stuck in there nice and tight.
&nbsp\\;
I re-did the side that was a problem tonight with the tube JB Weld and I'm going to let it set up overnight.&nbsp\\; We'll see how it works out tomorrow.
&nbsp\\;
Thanks,
&nbsp\\;
