Good point, Bill. I suppose I just assumed the stock backplate was capable of passing more air limited by whatever was used as a filter. I will be sure to check in to the new style backplate when I get back to the dealer. Thanks.

 

Can anyone give us the Part number off of the backing plate?? I got a stage 1 and the stealer didn't give me the cove for some reason and since the air filter fits. I am wondering if they did the proper job with the se backing plate. Thanks

 

Be Careful with the SE aircleaner. Last year K&N couldn't keep up with Harley demand and they started putting cheap filters in their kit. They don't work and my dealer is expecting a recall (hopefully) in the near future.
