My direct lift requires 100psi to operate the cylinder. In fact it says no higher than 100 psi so any small compressor will work.

You think the Sears lift is a bit pricey check out the same lift at your local stealer. I know they are over $200 [sm=jawdrop.gif]
Yeah - I meant pricey as compared to Nortern Tool, Harbor Frieght etc, etc. Don't get me going on the Dealers - [sm=icon_sneaky.gif]

I recomend getting another wheek chock. the one that comes with it is alittle flimsy
I just had issues with riding up and trying to dismount and lock the vise, alot of work
I went with the Condor wheel lock and it works out great

Just checked out the Condor on line. Look's good. When you lock the wheel in how does it release the tire when you pull it out?

The weight of the bike as you drop into the chock holds it there. There is a strap that goes around the wheel, assuming it spokes or not solid, that makes it even more secure. When you setup the chock you adjust it to fit your bike. Ride into it and get off. If you use if for trailering then you need to use tie downs on the bike still. But they don't have to be real tight and compress the forks.

The Condor wheel lock is a no brainer. pull in and it locks, pull back with minimal effort and your out. no need for the kickstand {I still us mine with a marble block to keep it level} and I use staps when the table goes up, can;t be to careful
I paid $169 at the NYC bike show with no regrets

I bought a table lift from Superlifts (superlifts.com) a few months ago. Best price I could find was on Ebay. Delivered I think it cost around $700. I got it mostly for a '34 VL that I'm restoring. It was pricey, but if you're going to do a lot of work then nothing beats a table lift at about 2.5 feet off the floor. Cheaper than a Chiropractor.

I looked at the HF lift, but was concerned that it looked a bit wobbly. With all the money I have in these bikes I don't want to worry about things tipping over. The Superlifts is rock solid. And it comes with a good chock, so I didn't have to upgrade. (And I use a little 2-gallon 3HP compressor that lifts it fine.)

It hurt shelling out the dough, but if you think about what these bikes cost then the peace of mind is worth it.

I have a scissor style lift too, but I find that it never seems to work well because I can't find a sufficiently flat spot under the bike. I used to put my VL and Sportster up on it, but was always afraid it was going to tip over on me. Something about the thought of a bike I have $17k invested in crashing onto the cement gives me the ******. So I would say shell out for something solid.

Just my $.02

Ben
